Find a club: a free UK shooting club directory is coming
We're launching a free, public directory of UK target shooting clubs, with a map, so shooters can find somewhere to shoot near them and clubs can be found. Clubs can add themselves now to be on it from day one.
One of the questions I’m asked most often, both as a shooter and back when I ran a club, is a simple one: “where can I shoot near me?”
It is harder to answer than it should be. Club details are scattered across old websites, forum posts and word of mouth. New shooters give up before they start, and clubs that would happily welcome them never hear a thing. So we’ve built something to help.
A directory of UK target shooting clubs
The Range Mate club directory is a free, public list of target shooting clubs across the UK. You’ll be able to browse by area or discipline, see clubs on a map, and open any club to find its location, what it shoots, affiliations, and how to get in touch.
It will be open to everyone. You won’t need a Range Mate account to use it, and clubs don’t pay anything to appear in it. We’re putting the finishing touches on it now, and there’s a countdown on the directory page if you want to know exactly when it opens.
Free for clubs, and yours to manage
Any UK target shooting club can have a free listing. You add your own details, keep them up to date, and decide what’s shown. If you would rather not be listed at all, that’s fine too, you can opt out at any time.
Add your club now and it’ll be live the moment the directory opens. Down the line, if you want to run the whole club on Range Mate, memberships, payments, bookings and the rest, the listing comes as part of that. But there’s no pressure. The directory is genuinely useful on its own, and it’s free.
Why we’re doing it
Range Mate has been built by shooters, for shooters, since 2016. The directory is the same idea pointed outwards: make the sport a little easier to get into, and help good clubs get found. That’s good for the clubs, good for new members, and good for the sport.
